The Market on Strongs
The Market on Strongs has been growing since it inception in 2008.
In 2008 Raikowski Farm started selling their products at a local outdoor farm market. At the end of the season the realization that the outdoor farm markets "end" (though obvious) came as a surprise. Raikowski Farm realized that they needed a year round market to sell their products.
Thanks to a local business that had a community space the Raikowskis were welcomed indoors to sell their products during the cold season. A couple of phone calls to other local producers resulted in a year round market forming - in the middle of Winter in Wisconsin!
That was the moment that the vision for a year round Market seemed real.

After about 3 years of being "incubated" at the local community space - the space was being rented for the development of another local business and we were faced with the opportunity to find a more permanent home. The Market moved to a historic building in downtown Stevens Point - on Strongs Avenue and the name just seemed to fit. The Market on Strongs became a fixture and not just a vision.
The Market on Strongs is proud to be producer owned and operated. We focus on working with local producers and bringing Wisconsin Products to our shelves.
